Seoul Drop (“we,” “us”) operates seouldrop.com from Rochester, New York. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.
What We Collect
Chat (Yubu): If you use our chat widget, we receive your messages and any contact info you choose to share (name, email, phone). We log a one-way hash of your IP address for abuse prevention — we never store or share the raw IP.
Contact form: Name, email, phone, and the event or inquiry details you submit at /contact.
Missing-item credit: If you ask Yubu about a missing item from a recent pickup order, we look up your Seoul Drop order by phone or email to verify, then issue a gift card if eligible.
No analytics or tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising trackers. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
Why We Collect It
To respond to your inquiries, fulfill catering bookings, resolve order issues, and operate the website. Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6): your consent and our legitimate interest in running the restaurant.
Who We Share It With
Anthropic — powers the Yubu chat AI. Your chat messages are processed by their API. Anthropic does not train on this data.
Square — our point-of-sale provider, queried to verify orders for the missing-item credit flow.
Our team — chat sessions and inquiries are forwarded to staff via Telegram so we can respond.
We do not sell your data. Ever.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your inquiry and chat data while it's relevant to your inquiry and for a reasonable period after, so we can follow up if needed and maintain a record of our correspondence.
Gift card claim records: kept for 7 years for accounting (IRS).
You can request deletion of your data anytime — see “Your Rights” below.
Cookies
We use a small amount of local browser storage to remember your chat session. That's it. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies.
Embedded Content
Our location section embeds a Google Map. Loading the map shares your IP address with Google under their privacy policy. If you'd rather not, simply skip that section of the page.

Wherever you live, email seouldropinfo@gmail.com with subject line “Privacy Request” to:
- See what data we have on you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Object to processing
EU/UK residents: GDPR rights apply. California residents: CCPA rights apply (right to know, delete, opt out of sale — we don't sell). New York residents: SHIELD Act applies.
Children
We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
